Yin & Yang Yoga LIVE

Trainer: Laura Kuklase

Category: Body and Mind

Yin yoga is a modern style of yoga in the Western world that is extremely calm and focuses on deeper stretching. Poses are held for 1–5 minutes. Yang, on the other hand, is the opposite of Yin, and in the context of a yoga class, Yang-style yoga practice is inspired by active styles such as Ashtanga and Vinyasa. It is characterized by strength and dynamism. The goal is to bring the body and mind into even greater balance and create greater harmony between them. To develop muscular endurance, we learn various yoga poses, or asanas, combining fast-paced and calm yoga practices. Everything in life must be in balance. And we must find that balance ourselves, being aware that every plus always needs a minus, and vice versa. This class helps improve physical endurance, build muscle strength and flexibility, and correct posture. In addition to poses that require muscle strength, the class offers an excellent opportunity to achieve balance between body and mind and to release internal tension and stress. The class begins with a light warm-up and then moves at a faster pace from one pose to the next without pausing to relax in between. The difficulty level of the poses can be adjusted to be either easier or more challenging as needed. This is followed by deep stretching exercises for various muscle groups. The pace and dynamics of the class are calm and suitable for both those who have previous experience with yoga and those for whom yoga is completely new.
