Who are the challenge coaches?

Kristi Möldri

Kristi has been a group fitness instructor for nearly 20 years. She works full-time, teaching classes every day at a MyFitness sports club, where she has won the MyFitness “Top Trainer” award—based on attendance figures—four years in a row. Kristi has been a dancer all her life, so her favourite workouts are different types of dance-based classes, but she also enjoys coming up with a variety of functional strength workouts.

Rasmus Kala

Rasmus has been involved in sports since childhood. Football is particularly close to his heart: he has played it for 17 years, including the last 5 at semi-professional level.

As a coach, he is focused and motivated, specialising in strength training for recreational exercisers and athletes of all levels.

Rasmus aims to help you build an exercise habit and develop the desire and determination to improve your quality of life. He believes in combining knowledge and experience to make your workouts as effective and purposeful as possible.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Sciences from the University of Tartu
  • EKR Level 3–4 coach training in powerlifting and gym training
  • Strength and conditioning coach at the University of Tartu Basketball School

Merike Kangro

Merike has loved sports since childhood and has tried a wide variety of disciplines. She has won inline skating marathons in the amateur category and was an Estonian youth champion in bowling. She has worked as a coach since 2015, when she obtained her Jumping and deepWork licences. She currently teaches a wide range of classes, including swimming for babies and toddlers, water aerobics, HIIT, KST, BBL and dance aerobics.

Why should you join the challenge?

Challenge instructions

1. Joining

To participate in the challenge, every participant must log in with an existing FitQ account or, if they do not have one, create a new account. Creating an account is free. Then register for the challenge here on the challenge page, either on your own or as a team.

2. Forming a team

One team member must register the team using the registration form. More members can be added later: open the challenge, select “Results” from the menu and find the “+ADD NEW MEMBER” button.

The team member’s email address must be the same one previously used to register their FitQ account. If they do not have an account, they must create one.

All participants will receive a confirmation email. If you cannot find the confirmation email, check your junk mail folder (spam) and make sure the team member’s email address was entered correctly.

Once the team has been registered, all members automatically gain access to the challenge. They only need to log in to the FitQ account created with the same email address. If they do not have an account, they must create one.

3. Challenge cost

Registration for the challenge is free. All users get one selected workout from our video library free each day (7 different workouts in total), while FitQ Premium customers receive a completely new workout every day.

The FitQ Premium package costs €14.99/month. Start your free 7-day trial here

Special 1=2 offer until the end of the year: FitQ + the Geneto Lifestyle nutrition and activity app.

*The offer is valid for all users who purchase a FitQ Premium package between 20.11.23- 31.12.23. Access to Geneto remains valid for as long as the FitQ Premium package is active.
Purchase an annual package through Stebby to get access to both platforms for the entire year!

PS. You can also pay through Stebby!

4. Workout content and tasks

The video workouts last 15–30 minutes. As several coaches are involved in the challenge, the workout styles also vary. The challenge includes both short, intense sessions and more relaxing workouts. The overall workout plan is designed to cover all your major muscle groups.

5. Equipment needed

For most of the workouts, all you need to exercise at home is a workout mat. Depending on your fitness level, you can always make any workout more challenging by using additional resistance such as dumbbells or resistance bands.

6. How challenge points are calculated

JõuluQ leaderboard points are calculated according to the FitQ points system:

You can earn points by watching workout videos. Premium users earn 10 points per minute of exercise, while free users earn 6 points per minute of exercise. Any video workout on the FitQ platform counts. You can also earn points from AI tests (for example, 1 squat = 1 point). In programmes, you earn 125 points for marking a task as complete, while Premium users earn 250 points. Team members’ points are added together in the results table.

7. Announcing the winners

If you complete all the workouts and tasks, the team members with the highest point totals will have a chance to win prize-draw rewards. We will announce the winners no later than 27.12.2023.

Stay active with your friends over the holidays, and we’ll see you in the JõuluQ challenge!
