The teams have also summed up the first week of the JõuluQ Energia Challenge. Yesterday, 56 people sent in feedback. Overall, it has to be said that the participants are still quite happy after the first week. Respondents were most satisfied with our challenge coaches, who scored an impressive 8.8 points on a 10-point satisfaction scale. Participants rated their own performance at 8.13 points. They were slightly more satisfied with their teammates, who received a score of 8.5. Of course, several respondents also gave their teammates a score of 1, but understandably, this happened when the team failed to meet its weekly goals.
The FitQ platform came in for a little more criticism from respondents, as it failed to record the workouts of several challenge participants, particularly at the beginning of the week. Fortunately, we managed to get things running more smoothly toward the end of the week and received a user rating of 6.78.
Weekly bonus task
For the weekly bonus task, each team had to create a photo collage of their video workouts and upload it to our Facebook group. The creative task sparked many participants’ imaginations, and we received several interesting submissions.
The coolest masterpiece was submitted by team Krankenwagen, who managed to include a magician in their performance. He sawed the team members into four pieces and then put them back together again, as you can see in the photo.
Why did people take on the workout challenge?
We have also included a few quotes from our participants explaining why they joined the challenge. Goals related to weight loss and building a habit stood out most. Some participants also wanted to improve their muscular strength so they could, for example, take part in ski marathons. Some had set more general goals, while others had chosen goals that were easy to measure, such as completing every workout or losing 3 kg. Some also said quite openly and boldly that they had joined in the hope of winning a prize.
Quotes from participants
"To lose a little weight and get back into an enjoyable workout routine."
"By the end of the challenge, I should have developed the habit of moving and exercising every day, as well as the ability to make time for it alongside all my other daily responsibilities. I’ll definitely be more energetic and stronger by the end of the challenge. :)"
"A top-10 finish with teammates I didn’t know. Inspiring one another without even realizing it!"
"My goal is to take part in EVERY workout, even though it sometimes feels impossible alongside the kids, singing and everything else. Family dinner is always late now, too. 😂"
"The real goal is to see the challenge through to the end and get into better shape by Christmas. I normally work out elsewhere 4x a week and joined with serious doubts, but exercising together actually becomes so exciting that you somehow manage to find the energy and time. This week, I completed as many as 12 workouts, plus a few rounds of disc golf in the snowy forest."
"To get into better shape, lose up to 5 kg, fit into my party clothes and, most importantly, establish a routine that I can follow and continue all the way until next Christmas. 🤩"
