Hello, fellow running enthusiasts! I’d like to share my exciting experience of the Running Basics Course I’m currently taking on the FitQ training platform. If you’re a beginner or want to improve your running, the Running Basics Course could be just what you need!
Yesterday, we had an outdoor training session at the Song Festival Grounds park in Tartu, led by professional coach Margus Pirksaar. From the very first moment, it was clear that this course was going to be something special. As a group, we learned a great deal of useful new information about running, along with many important tips and techniques.
The training session itself was truly memorable. The Song Festival Grounds park was an excellent place to train, offering varied terrain and a pleasant atmosphere. The beautiful weather and warm evening also deserve a mention, as they added a special touch to the session. Margus Pirksaar coached us with enthusiasm and shared his knowledge and experience of running technique. We received individual feedback on our running form and exercises, helping us understand how to make our running more efficient.
What I particularly liked was how the session focused not only on the physical side of running, but also on how we felt and how to monitor our heart-rate zones. I learned how to listen to my body and feel comfortable while running. I also found out what my heart-rate zone should be at different training intensities and how to monitor it. This knowledge has proved extremely useful and makes me feel more confident about my future training sessions.
I would definitely recommend that all recreational runners start by consulting a professional coach or taking a running basics course. It gives you a solid foundation and helps you avoid mistakes and injuries. The Running Basics Course is currently underway on the FitQ platform, and there is still time to join. Good running technique is a skill for life!
