Hello!

Last week brought a number of updates to the FunTastyQ Fit website and FitQ subscriptions. Most of them are already live—here’s a brief summary of what you’ll notice when you use the service.

Cooking Mode — Step-by-Step Recipe on Screen

The recipe page now has a button that opens a full-screen cooking view. Each step is its own card, and you can navigate between steps by swiping or using the large Previous/Next buttons—so even floury or wet fingers won’t get in the way.

The first card provides an overview: a photo of the dish, preparation time, and the complete list of ingredients all at once. The last card says “Done!”, where you can immediately add the dish to your food diary.

The screen stays on while you’re cooking, and the app remembers where you left off: if you get a call or need to step away from the app, you’ll pick up exactly where you left off. Cooking mode will be coming to the app very soon with the next update.

Recipes are easier to read in the kitchen

Three small but useful everyday improvements in the same view:

Units are back. Until now, the website only displayed grams—“27 g olive oil.” Now we display them exactly as written in the recipe: “2 tbsp olive oil,” with grams shown alongside for clarity. Changing portion sizes also scales the units accordingly.

Shopping list directly from the recipe. Previously, you could only create a shopping list at the weekly plan level. Now there’s a button in the recipe view that adds this dish’s ingredients to the shopping list.

Morning Daily Confirmation

The previous day’s confirmation window is the first screen many users see each day. The weight chart now has a pencil icon: if you’ve just weighed yourself in the morning, you can enter your weight right there without having to close the window and search for a separate section.

Allergens and Menu Reliability

We’ve tagged all base ingredients and cascaded allergens into the recipes. We’ve also changed a rule: if a recipe’s allergens haven’t been reviewed yet, it won’t slip through the exclusion filter anymore. If you’ve marked an allergy or exclusion in your profile, a questionable recipe is more likely to be excluded from the menu than included.

And more

A “STEPS” tab has been added to the FuntasyQ daily view carousel, where you can see your daily step goal progress and weekly history all in one place. The daily score trend excludes incomplete days from the calculation, so today’s incomplete day won’t drag down the trend anymore.

Keep in mind that Weekly VäljaQtse is still going strong—this week is “Movement Week,” and the goal is 50,000 steps.

Have a sporty week!
