If you ask anyone who is in good shape or who works as a trainer what the secret is to their or anyone's good shape, the answer is usually that exercise is important, but eating right also plays a very important role.
During the festive season, people tend to indulge more than usual, eat more junk food and portion sizes can get out of hand. What are the consequences? At worst, it adds a few extra kilos, but for almost everyone the result is a heavy feeling in the stomach and fatigue.
Our point here is certainly not that people should go on a diet during the holidays, or that they should restrict what they eat, but to remind them of something simple - listening to their body.
While you're eating, don't do distractions like watching TV or scrolling on your smartphone. Try to concentrate on what you are eating at each meal and don't rush, this will help you to know when your stomach is really filling up and avoid overeating.
Add to this the idea that you don't have to fill up your plate with a pile, you can always have more, and there's less chance of you getting that heavy "stone in your stomach" feeling.
Every meal should always include something fresh, like a salad or vegetables, to give your body a boost of vitamins during the dark. In addition, we also recommend that you follow the general rule of the plate, with a healthy balance of fats, proteins and carbohydrates in your diet.
