All FitQ users who are actively training on our platform will have noticed that a good points calculation is running on their desktop. So if you make a small movement on the platform, activity points will immediately tick up. Why are these points good and how are they calculated? We'll do a little summary, but be warned that this is a blog post that we'll probably have to update from time to time, as our platform is constantly changing.
Why are points necessary?
In order to be motivated to move, you sometimes need not only intrinsic motivation, but also a bit of extrinsic motivation. A need that doesn't come from within you, but that gets you moving. Using the points system, we can create different challenges and games for the platform and offer bonuses.
Season finale. For example, we currently have a monthly challenge for all users - collect a total of 5,000 points in a month and you'll get one vote in our end of season draw, which will take place in June. There we have a grand prize of a €1000 travel voucher from Estravel.
Challenges. There will also be a variety of exciting team challenges, where the leaderboard will be the basis for the ranking - pick up the most points alone or as a team and you are the winner of the challenge. Next up on 12 February for teams of up to 7 members Life's Best Shape Training Challenge.
Activity leaderboard. The points allow us to generate a list of active users. current ranking. The leaderboard can be tracked by current month, week or day to see how your activity compares to other users.
Discounts in the online shop. In the future, we will also be able to offer the best contributors, on the basis of points, the following discounts in your e-shop, where you can buy various sports equipment or necessary supplements.
How are points calculated?
